iO Associates is partnering with a growing consulting firm specializing in military, nuclear, and maritime projects. We are currently looking to onboard a Junior to Mid-Level Naval Architect to meet increasing project demands. This role involves working on projects such as:
* Defence programmes including the Future Air Dominance Systems (FADS), submarine docking facilities, and Multi-Role Support Ship studies.
* Nuclear maritime feasibility studies and concept development.
* Commercial vessel replacement programmes with focus on operational concepts and technical specifications.
* Design of submersible and surface assets.
The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge naval architecture challenges, collaborating with clients and teams to develop innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Leading and supporting concept and feasibility studies.
* Developing parametric CAD models and technical specifications.
* Conducting structural, stability, and performance analyses.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, shipbuilding, and offshore operations.
Requirements:
* Degree in an engineering discipline.
* Proficiency with CAD tools or naval architecture modeling software.
* Experience in concept development and feasibility studies.
* SC clearance or eligibility (British preferred).
* Experience in the defence sector is highly valued.
* Familiarity with nuclear maritime applications is desirable.
