Are you interested in working for an award-winning social care charity?
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a vital role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same, but your role will involve supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes.
Your responsibilities may include assisting with personal care, moving and handling, or positive behavioural support, while helping expand their social networks and connections.
Enable creates a bespoke team around each individual, working collaboratively to ensure safety, wellbeing, and aspirations are met.
The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me
The people we support have diverse interests, hobbies, and dreams. A career with Enable is rewarding and diverse. Support Workers have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people they support.
Meet Louise:
Louise is a woman in her late 20s who enjoys maintaining her appearance, including pampering, hairdressing, and nail care. She likes lunches out, coffees, and cocktails.
She values staying active, especially walking, which she enjoys as a fun activity like visiting museums or shopping.
Louise has a great sense of humour, is caring, bubbly, and empathetic.
She needs an active, upbeat staff team who can handle brisk walks, understand the importance of routine and communication aids, and help her feel secure during stressful situations while promoting her independence.
If you share these interests and are committed, dedicated, and eager to support Louise, please apply now! Enable values your support workers' dedication and transferrable skills, and you don't need prior care experience to start your social care career with us. Join us in creating an inclusive society for everyone with a learning disability.
