General Practitioner – Job Details
Location: St Lawrence (Church Lane Surgery). Salary: Up to £112,500 depending on experience. Hours: 10 hours (Tuesdays 08:00‑18:30).
Main responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients registered and attending the GP surgery, via consultations in-person and by video, telephone triage, medication reviews, and other clinical administration tasks.
* Participate in clinical governance activities, audits and the Quality and Outcomes Framework to maintain and improve health outcomes and meet CQC standards.
* Support operational delivery: collaborate with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead on action plans, patient satisfaction, list growth, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource management and cost control.
* Adhere to GMC standards, safeguarding requirements and other professional obligations.
* Provide on-call support during the working hours (excluding out of hours).
Ideal candidate
* Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list, and active GP accreditation (MRCGP or equivalent).
* Active clinical work experience and clear commitment to delivering patient-focused services.
* Sound knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and appropriate coding.
* Preferred working knowledge of clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISweb.
* Experience with clinical governance, quality improvement and audit initiatives.

* Annual salary up to £112,500 depending on experience and £11,000 per session for newly qualified GPs.
