About Your Role
You will lead the bailiff teams across the region, working closely with the Operations Manager to meet operational needs, deliver performance objectives and provide a consistent, customer‑focused service. You will also manage relationships with the judiciary, supporting agencies, voluntary and user groups, and drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the smooth running of bailiff teams throughout the region.
* Lead and support the team to meet operational needs and deliver performance objectives.
* Maintain positive relationships with the judiciary, support agencies, voluntary and user groups.
* Drive continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and service levels.
* Manage complaints and corrective actions within set timescales in a process‑ and compliance‑driven environment.
* Ensure health and safety, IT/Workstation compliance and escalates court facilities issues to HMCTS Estates teams.
* Set local priorities and objectives aligned to national/regional strategies and plans.
* Provide direction and support to managers, develop team plans, ensure resourcing, training and budget compliance.
* Identify and implement solutions to local problems.
About You (Qualifications & Attributes)
* Hands‑on problem solver with the ability to engage people at all levels.
* Confident communicator who can lead and motivate a team.
* Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service and employee engagement.
* Experience of managing budget, resourcing and training teams.
* Knowledge of enforcement procedures, including bailiff work, is beneficial.
