What you'll be doing
* Lead the development, maintenance, and optimisation of SCADA assets across the SPT network
* Deliver effective change management processes, ensuring high-quality outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders
* Manage, develop, and mentor the SCADA team, fostering a high-performance culture
* Contribute to future SCADA investment strategies, policies, and long-term planning
* Oversee SCADA-related budgets, contractor performance, and delivery against RIIO price control objectives
* Provide technical leadership and input into Major Project Delivery, including SCADA design, specification, and implementation
* Collaborate with centralised business functions to support wider organisational goals and regulatory compliance
What You'll Bring
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, including proven negotiation capability
* Extensive experience working with SCADA systems within power transmission or utility networks
* In-depth knowledge of industry-standard SCADA protocols and protocol emulation tools
* Solid operational experience within a transmission environment
* Proven ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems independently and collaboratively
* Good understanding of network data, business systems, and network management platforms
Minimum Requirements
* A strong track record in SCADA systems management within a utility or transmission environment
* Experience leading teams and managing technical specialists
* Sound technical knowledge of SCADA architectures, protocols, and operational practices
* The ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, and stakeholders effectively
* A proactive and solutions-focused approach to challenges
