At Clarus Education we are working with a FE College who are seeking a full time Lecturer inElectrical Installation to join their team, based in Uxbridge, to teach and assess Apprentices.
The role will involve assessing apprentices on site and in the workplace, completing related administration and liaising with employers and college staff. You will deliver a range of programmes and will play an active role in the design, planning and delivery of schemes of work and lesson plans.
You will be qualified to Level 3 in Electrical Installation, with experience gained within the industry, and some teaching, training and/or assessing experience.
Qualifications - Lecturer inElectrical Installation
* Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Electrical Installation
* Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. DET/Cert Ed**) or willingness and ability to work towards a teaching qualification, supported by the College
* Assessor award (A1 or equivalent) or willing to obtain
Knowledge and Experience - Lecturer inElectrical Installation
* Experience in the electrical installation industry
* Teaching/training experience in the subject area
* Experience of assessing people in the workplace
* An understanding of the Further Education sector, particularly the City and Guilds range of programmes
Other Skills – Lecturer inElectrical Installation
* Ability to enthuse and engage vocational learners aged 16-19
* Good communication skills, written and verbal
* Good interpersonal skills
* Good classroom practice
* Ability to use IT within the curriculum
* Good administration/organisational skills
