Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an interim HR Director – EmployeeRelations (Global RDFT Lead), to work with our global FMCG clientUnilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple,to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based at Blackfriars on London’sVictoria Embankment, just a short walk from Blackfriars tube. This isa full-time temporary role for 12 months, requiring 36.25 hours perweek, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive,paying between £120,000 and £170,000 per annum, pro rata, dependingupon experience.
The role currently offersa mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based onbusiness requirements.

The RDFT (Respect, Dignity and Fair Treatment) Lead plays akey role in supporting these values in overseeing the company processfor managing workplace concerns related to the RDFT incidents underUnilever’s Code of Business Principles (“Code”). This role will workin close collaboration with the Legal team to ensure that concerns aretriaged appropriately and resolved efficiently and effectively.TheGlobal RDFT Lead will also be responsible for identifying keyworkplace trends and work with key leaders and stakeholders toimplement remedial actions, process improvements and lessons learnedacross the entire organization. This role will also be responsible forcontinued upskilling and education for the individuals handling suchconcerns, in addition to raising awareness of the RDFT programmewithin the business. This role will also be responsible for building anetwork within the business to support in addressing concerns andimplementing remedial efforts.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expertise on the ethics and complianceaspects of the Respect, Dignity & Fair Treatment Code (“RDFT”) policy.
* Design procedures and solutions for the effective andefficient handling of matters related to workplace concerns.
* A member of the Business Integritycommittee, that ensuresthat workplace matters are triaged to the appropriate internal teamfor efficient and effective handling.
* Provide support andguidance to both HR and Business Integrity members handling workplaceinvestigations including process, planning, investigation, sanctions,and accurate system tracking.
* Drive continuous improvementand maintenance of company values, supporting the business toimplement remedial actions, process improvements and lessons learnedas they relate to workplace matters.
* Support the developmentof both Business Integrity and Human Resources teams in creating anddelivering relevant capability programmes.
* Build and overseea global network of local leaders who will support in addressingemployee concerns and furthering the various programs and initiativesof the Business Integrity and Human Resource functions.
* Provide information and guidance on Unilever policies,procedures, resources and different processes to raise concerns, andexplain the options and possible outcomes of different courses ofaction.
* Identify systemic or recurring issues and trends andprovide feedback and recommendations to senior management and relevantstakeholders.
* Create and maintain a robust tracking systemthat keeps records and statistics of all RDFT investigations andprepare periodic executive and board-quality reports on the activitiesand outcomes of the RDFT programme. This role will also ensure allrequirements for data reporting externally are met promptly andconsistently globally.
* Develop close connections across keystakeholders such as Inclusion and Employment Legal teams at globaland local levels.
Qualifications, Skills andExperience:
* A minimum of 15+ years ofexperience in HR and Employment Law, managing conflict resolution,mediation, social accountability, business integrity, and humanresources ER matters, preferably in a corporate setting in large FMCGglobal organisations. Ideally being qualified in employment law willalso be an advantage.
* Excellent communication, listening, andinterpersonal skills, and the ability to deal with people from diversebackgrounds and cultures.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving,and decision-making skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and theability to handle complex and sensitive situations with tact anddiplomacy.
* High ethical standards, integrity, andprofessionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality andneutrality.
* Previous experience in similar roles establishingprocesses, governance and designing and implementing appropriatecapability interventions
