Job DescriptionA highly respected boutique independent financial planning firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Administration to lead and develop their growing administrative function. This is a pivotal appointment within the business and offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to shape and support the next stage of the firm’s strategic growth.The company delivers holistic financial advice to a longstanding book of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. With ambitious plans to double assets under management in the coming years and modernise their operational approach, they are looking for a proactive and strategic professional to take ownership of the administration team and help build a high-performing support function.The OpportunityThis is more than a management role — it’s a chance to have a tangible impact on the future of the business. As Head of Administration, you will work closely with the senior management team to lead, structure, and grow the administration department, ensuring the delivery of outstanding operational support to clients, advisers, and the wider team.You’ll play a key role in developing internal processes, mentoring staff, and helping to foster a strong, collaborative culture. The business is looking for someone who is confident in implementing change, passionate about developing people, and motivated to be part of a modern, forward-thinking advice firm.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the administration functionWork closely with Directors and senior leaders to align operations with business strategyLead, mentor, and develop a team of administrators, encouraging growth and professional developmentImplement and improve internal processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and complianceAct as a key point of contact for operational matters and internal communicationsSupport recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff as the team growsEnsure high-quality client service standards are maintained throughout all administrative touchpointsWhat’s on offerBasic salary up to £50,000 (depending on experience)Leadership position with genuine strategic influence and visibilityOpportunity to build, develop and shape a growing teamClear pathway for further progression as the business scalesCollaborative working environment with access to senior decision-makersFlexi starts and early Friday finishesSupportive and people-focused company cultureThis is a rare opportunity for a confident, motivated operations professional to step into a high-impact role and help lead the growth and evolution of a high-quality financial planning firm.
