Frazer-Nash Consultancy is one of the established Defence, Engineering, and Technology Consultancies in the UK, and we are pleased to be recruiting a Business Manager covering our business activities in the Secure Government sector.
The Business Manager for Secure Government will have responsibility for growing a portfolio of profitable work within the Secure Government community, initially focussed on the West, but growing into London, East and the Northwest. This will involve working with existing customers and partners and developing new ones. The role requires the Business Manager to hold appropriate clearance and HS IT access. You will work with the Secure Government Client Director to optimise the growth alongside their more focussed growth strategy. You will also work with our Capability, Delivery and Strategy functions to support identification of capability and capacity growth areas for both our existing and new clients and partners.
The Business Manager is responsible for relationship management with our clients. You will act as a sales and business development lead, managing bids and ensuring we maintain relationships that allow us to deliver effectively for our clients whilst we continue to grow our business.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the strategy of the business.
* Work with existing technical delivery teams in the development of our services towards the needs of your clients.
* Oversee business development planning and associated activities.
* Develop and maintain close working relationships with a network of clients associated with your sector.
* Identify, characterise and capture opportunities to deliver the business.
* Work with resource managers to identify, secure and maintain the skills and experience required of your clients.
Requirements
* Market knowledge of the sector, holding key relationships across the client base, supply chain and knowledge of our competitors.
* Significant commercial experience and business acumen having secured and led large scale commercial contracts for numerous clients within the sector client base and created supply chains with a diverse set of subcontractors.
* A highly effective communicator able to operate right across the business in support of whole company strategy.

Security clearance: Due to the nature of the work, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
