Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse seeking a new opportunity? We have a Community Staff Nurse position available within the teams based at Chard, Langport, South Petherton, Ilminster and Crewkerne. Our service covers the urban and rural areas of South Somerset. This position includes dayshifts and twilight shifts, with typical hours 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm, or 10am to 6pm, and twilight shifts 2pm to 10pm. The role also includes working one in three weekends with additional unsocial hours and enhanced payments. Flexible working solutions are offered where possible to support work-life balance, and part-time hours will be considered. You will need to be a car driver with your own vehicle to visit patients in their homes. We offer a generous mileage allowance to cover NHS business (including mileage and depreciation).

As a community RN, you\'ll provide care to patients in their homes, managing a range of complex health issues and collaborating with various other disciplines. You\'ll develop a broad range of nursing skills including IV medication administration, palliative and end-of-life care, complex wound management, catheter and continence care, diabetes management, PICC line care, medication administration, and drain tube management. You\'ll need to make autonomous clinical decisions and create holistic care plans with the support of colleagues and Team Leaders. Comprehensive training and guidance will be provided by our two dedicated Clinical Lead nurses.
Responsibilities
* Provide care to patients in their homes, managing a range of complex health issues and collaborating with other disciplines.
* Develop and implement holistic care plans; make autonomous clinical decisions with support from Team Leaders.
* Support ongoing clinical skills development (IV meds, wound care, catheter care, diabetes management, PICC line care, palliative care, end-of-life care, drain management).
* Receive comprehensive training and guidance from two dedicated Clinical Lead nurses.
Requirements/Qualifications
* Current registered nurse (RN) with valid registration; qualified in community/nurse roles preferred.
* Willingness to work days, twilight shifts, and weekends; full driving license and own vehicle required for home visits.
* Newly qualified nurses are welcome, with availability of preceptorship.
* Good communication skills and ability to work autonomously within a team.
