The Role This is a Senior Software Engineering position for someone who thrives in fast-paced, Agile environments and takes real ownership of the software they build. You'll design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications, working closely with cross-functional teams including BAs and stakeholders to deliver secure, efficient solutions end to end. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient Java applications Implement and own CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless, reliable deployment Build cloud-native applications with a strong focus on security and performance Collaborate with BAs, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in an Agile and DevOps environment Ensure code quality through rigorous code reviews, TDD, and automated testing frameworks Contribute to Infrastructure as Code practices using tools such as Terraform Adapt to evolving project priorities and deliver pragmatically against business requirements What You'll Need Essential Strong commercial Java development experience at senior level, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate Hands-on experience with cloud environments and containerisation - AWS, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker Solid understanding of RESTful web services, API integration, and data formats including JSON, XML, and Avro Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases - PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis or similar Experience with DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) Strong TDD skills using frameworks such as JUnit Proficiency with version control and build tools - Git, Maven, Gradle Right to work in the UK Nice to Have Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular Knowledge of event-driven architectures and real-time data processing Background working in regulated environments with security best practices Why Apply?
