Job description
A ‘Good’ rated school in Wakefield are seeking a full time tutor to work with a pupil who has SEMH needs in an off-site setting.
The pupil is working at a lower than average age-level and requires tuition in a range of subjects including functional skills.
You will have support from a teaching assistant throughout the day to support the teaching and learning.
The ideal person will:
1. Have previous experience tutoring or teaching
2. Have experience working with pupils who have SEMH or SEN needs
3. Be able to provide tuition in a range of subjects and some functional skills
Position Details:
4. Location – Wakefield working in an off-site provision setting
5. Position – Tutor
6. Start date – ASAP
7. Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing until at least Summer 2022
8. Full time/part-time – Full time
9. The minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £120 per day
What is expected:
10. The ability to build a rapport and make progress with the student.
11. Regular updates and progress reports provided to the school, carer or LAC officer, after every session.
12. Attend meetings relating to the students’ progress.
13. Plan schemes of work to engage the student.
