Job Title: Data Scientist (Generative AI)
Location: Knutsford - 2 days per week (hybrid)
Salary/Rate: £430 Per Day - PAYE (Inside IR35)
Start Date: 15th September
Job Type: Contract (until 31/12/2025, extensions likely)

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Data Scientist with strong Generative AI expertise to join their team.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine learning solutions, with a strong focus on Generative AI.
* Experiment with and apply DL/ML models, particularly LLMs and Agentic Frameworks.
* Utilise prompt engineering, RAG, and fine-tuning techniques to deliver business insights and new user experiences.
* Collaborate across product, engineering, and commercial teams to implement scalable AI systems.
* Conduct analysis of customer data and market trends to inform GenAI-powered solutions.
* Partner with product teams on A/B and multivariate testing for GenAI-driven features.
* Present findings on performance and potential of GenAI models to stakeholders.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* 3 years' experience building data science applications and ML pipelines.
* Hands-on expertise with Generative AI (LLMs, Agentic Frameworks, prompt engineering).
* Strong Python skills with common ML/GenAI libraries.
* Experience working with large datasets, distributed computing, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Desirable Skills/Experience
* SQL and relational database experience.
* Familiarity with pre-trained LLMs (via APIs or open-source).
* Experience in training, evaluating, and deploying ML models in production.
* Exposure to MLOps for GenAI.
