A Fleet Maintenance Centre Assistant Manager is responsible for overviewing and supporting the fleet team on the running of the department. Key area of focus on customer End of Lease and In-Life recharges and PCN’s to ensure these are correct and on top of but have full knowledge and oversight on the other areas of the department. To work alongside the Fleet Service Centre Assistant Manager with managing the service compliance and breakdown team and provide cover when needed. To be able to review and implement departmental processes and/or changes as required, identify potential issues and make suggestions across the department and wider business on improvements that could be made.
To be responsible for reviewing the platform and running regular reports to ensure the systems data is correct, to identify areas of concern before they become issues, come up with future solutions and to assist with managing the API errors. To assist the Fleet Systems and Reporting Manager with reporting and provide support with new system developments including suggestions, change requests and testing the progress to ensure it is suitable and fit for purpose.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with any team or departmental queries/decisions
• Run reports to assist managers with relevant information on their areas
• Ensure customer recharge estimates are sent out correctly and within the agreed timeframe
• Regularly review recharges to capture missing or incorrect costs
• Ensure all Penalty Charge notices are processed within the agreed timeframe
• Ensure Road fund licence renewals are processed on time
• Review and manage team KPI targets
• Overview and review fleet processes and update as needed
• To be able to provide cover for the Fleet Service Centre Assistant Manager
• To have a in depth knowledge and understanding of the Recharge, PCN and Fleet Service Centre
• Get involved in new system development on behalf of the fleet department, make suggestions, change requests and testing to ensure it is fit for purpose
• Run reports to identify any potential issues and put solutions in place
• Identify incorrect data and correct to ensure system is correct for the fleet department
• Gain knowledge of other departments processes and how it links to fleet, review and make suggestions on improvements that helps the wider business
• Review asset failures and assist with corrections
• Review current systems and provide potential improvements/process changes
• Review and be involved in new technology including HVO, EV and Hydrogen development
• Re-train AAG staff on specific tasks if required
Person Specification
* Strong IT skills – Internal systems, Excel and Outlook etc.
* Proven experience of the current systems and API’s
* In Depth knowledge and Understanding of maintenance and damage repairs
* Knowledge and understanding of the wider departmental processes and KPI’s
* Excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and equally un-supervised
* Proactive with a keen attention to the smallest of details
