Operations Operative – Production Location: StaffordDepartment: OperationsHours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm Join Our Team We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Operations Operative to join our growing Operations team at our Head Office in Stafford. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy and quality, and is keen to develop skills across multiple operational areas. As an Operations Operative, you will support key areas including Production, Service & Repair Fulfilment, Warehouse, and Logistics. You’ll play an important role in ensuring products are processed, built, tested, packed and shipped efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Goods In Receive and inspect incoming deliveries Report discrepancies and damages promptly Maintain accurate stock records within ERP systems Support stock control and inventory accuracy Assist with unloading deliveries and shipping containers Process returned goods (RMA receipts) Operate Forklift Trucks where authorised Picking & Warehouse Operations Accurately pick products against job sheets Move stock using ERP systems in real time Carry out stock checks and inventory counts Handle products with care and maintain stock accuracy Support warehouse operations as required Assembly Assemble products to required specifications Follow ESD procedures and special build instructions Build and configure high-spec systems and equipment Carry out component inspections and strip-downs where required Maintain high-quality standards and attention to detail Configure, Test & Repair Test products against documented procedures Diagnose and repair faulty equipment Record serial numbers and system information accurately Maintain product traceability and documentation Ensure products meet quality requirements before dispatch Packing & Shipping Securely package products to minimise damage Carry out visual quality checks before dispatch Ensure orders are shipped accurately and within agreed service levels Support domestic and global dispatch operations Contribute towards sustainability objectives by minimising waste and carbon impact What We're Looking For Essential Skills & Experience Good IT skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and become multi-skilled Good organisational skills Desirable Skills & Qualifications NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence GCSE qualifications Experience using ERP systems Stock control experience Knowledge of IT hardware/components Microsoft Office experience What Success Looks Like High standards of quality and accuracy Maintaining stock accuracy targets Meeting departmental KPIs and service levels Working safely and following company procedures Supporting continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives Our Values At Converge UK, our values shape everything we do: Empowering Our PeopleWe trust, support and invest in our people.
