Title: Rail Project Manager
Salary: Up to £65k ~ some flex.
Location: Holborn ~ 3 days in office weekly
Overview:
La Fosse has partnered with an international, market-leading media, broadcasting, and outdoor organization, seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex projects within a £200 million infrastructure programme for a transportation client.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver projects within budget, scope, and safety standards, complying with CDM regulations 2015.
* Create detailed project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
* Guide project teams through all phases, from scoping and design to construction and commissioning.
* Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
* Supervise contractors to ensure scope, specifications, and safety standards are met.
* Lead budgeting and forecasting for CAPEX projects, ensuring expenditures stay within limits.
* Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to optimize costs and oversee contractor performance.
* Coordinate with engineering, procurement, operations, and other departments.
* Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
* Manage contractor relationships and ensure compliance with standards.
* Ensure projects adhere to regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
* Implement quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices.
* Maintain detailed project records and provide regular updates to senior management.
* Oversee project closeout and transition activities.
Experience Needed:
* Over 5 years of experience managing rail projects.
* Experience with construction contract frameworks like NEC, JCT, CCN.
* Experience delivering roadside, highway, or rail construction and commissioning projects.
* Managing contractors and suppliers within NEC3/4 or similar environments.
* Knowledge of CDM regulations 2015 and safety management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, and document management systems like ASite.
* Experience leading project manager direct reports.
