Keystone Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager (RGN) to join established care service in Cornwall for adults with learning disabilities. The successful candidate will be a Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration, bringing clinical expertise and leadership to ensure the highest standards of nursing care, person-centred support, and regulatory compliance.

Pay Rate: £23.31 per hour
Hours: Full-time - flexible in line with rostered hours including on-call
Registration: RGN - current NMC registration
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Service Manager in the day-to-day operation of the service, deputising in their absence
Lead, supervise, and line-manage a team of nurses and support staff, ensuring consistent, high-quality care delivery
Ensure person-centred plans are assessed, planned, implemented, and regularly reviewed in consultation with residents, families, and health professionals
Oversee all nursing support, ensuring clinical records are maintained to a high professional standard in accordance with NMC guidelines
Oversee the ordering, safe storage, and administration of medicines in line with regulatory requirements
Monitor team practices to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, CQC standards, policies, and safeguarding procedures
Manage and co-ordinate the rota and shift allocation to ensure appropriate nursing cover is always maintained
Support residents with physical care, personal hygiene, and daily living skills, promoting independence, dignity, and privacy
Ensure infection control procedures are followed and health and safety policies are upheld across the service
Contribute to staff recruitment, induction, training, appraisal, and ongoing professional development
Participate in the on-call rota as required by the service
Liaise effectively with external health and social care professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care
Maintain own continuing professional development in line with NMC revalidation requirementsSkills and Experience
Current NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) - essential
Proven experience in a senior nursing or deputy management role within a care setting
Strong knowledge of CQC standards and relevant health and social care legislation
