Description As a Volunteer Driver, you'll be the reliable presence that eases someone's worries, ensuring they can get to their appointment. You don't have to do it alone - comprehensive training and ongoing support will ensure you feel confident behind the wheel. With guidance on safe driving, passenger assistance, and handling unexpected situations, as well as direct access to healthcare professionals for advice where needed. As part of a dedicated team at Marie Curie’s Cardiff and the Vale Hospice, you’ll be fully supported every step of the way. Here is what you will be a part of: Driving patients to their appointments, ensuring they arrive safely and on time. Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle if needed, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey Provide light assistance, such as carrying bags, walkers, or other personal items, to make the experience as stress-free as possible. Offer friendly conversation and support along the way - sometimes a listening ear is just as valuable as the transport itself.
