Overview
Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer required to join a leading engineering supplier. The successful candidate will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on compressed air equipment, including compressors and compressed air filtration products, at customer sites across North London and surrounding areas. Full product training is provided.
Responsibilities
* Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
* Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, offer advice, diagnostics and fault finding for compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers and dryers.
* Install compressed air, water and nitrogen pipelines into various manufacturing industries.
* Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on compressed air equipment.
* Liaise with various engineering departments.
* Work at customer sites throughout North London and surrounding areas.
Requirements
* Willingness to learn complex electrical and mechanical engineering systems.
* Experience as a Trainee/Apprentice Service Engineer, Technician, Graduate Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Entry‑level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar is advantageous.
* Hands‑on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domains with a willingness to learn.
* Strong understanding of three‑phase electrics and controls; hands‑on experience preferred.
* Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice training, FGas, NVQ level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, HND or similar is desirable.
* Determination to learn the compressed air industry and related fields with enthusiasm for career progression opportunities.
* Flexibility to travel across North London and surrounding areas.
Package & Benefits
* £27,000 – £32,000 basic, depending on experience.
