Overview

The Cardiology Department of North Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Trust (NLAG) is seeking enthusiastic and qualified individuals to provide cardiology support within acute services. The posts will undertake cardiology assessment and triage of patients admitted to Scunthorpe General Hospital and facilitate their further management. There is an opportunity to undertake specialist work in an area of cardiology of particular interest. The cardiology team provides a comprehensive service across five hospital sites, with a tertiary service based at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH). Although based at SGH, specialist activity may be undertaken within HUTH if required. There is currently no requirement for out-of-hours activity.


Responsibilities

* Carry out cardiology assessment and triage of patients admitted to Scunthorpe General Hospital and contribute to their management plan.
* Opportunity to undertake specialist clinic work or procedures in a chosen area of cardiology.
* Collaborate with on-call Cardiology Consultants based at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital (Grimsby) and Castle Hill Hospital (Hull).
* Work within a networked cardiology service across NLAG and HUTH, with potential specialist activity at HUTH as required.
* Engage with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality cardiology care.


Qualifications and Experience

* At least 5 years of cardiology training experience, including expertise in performing and interpreting echocardiograms.
* Good communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with on-call Cardiology Consultants.
* Not required to be on the Speciality Register.
