We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales to pursue sales opportunities across all the business, focusing on two of our properties: Thore Park Hotel in Leeds and Middeltons Hotel in York. The role includes generating sales activity, including at the Spa.
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
1. Monitor all key conference and accommodation accounts, track performance, extend our contact network, seek new opportunities, and ensure clients understand we value their business.
2. Negotiate contracted business on behalf of the hotel.
3. Prepare and implement an annual sales and marketing plan covering all revenue streams in the hotel and spa, and be accountable for its delivery.
4. Undertake proactive sales activities with the Sales Executive to develop a pipeline of prospect accounts across all areas, including sales blitzes, outreach, and telephone activities.
5. Implement pricing and sales strategies for all areas of the business in collaboration with the Sales Director, General Manager, and Cluster Revenue Manager, ensuring understanding across the team.

You will work closely with the Sales Director to identify challenges and focus resources to maximize turnover and profitability. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of proactive problem-solving, is open to innovative approaches, and is an active listener who respects others’ views. You should be a motivational leader and natural salesperson, solution-oriented, with strong relationship-building skills and tenacity to convert profitable business.
