As Enable continue to grow its national and international impact, the organisation is seeking an exceptional People Director to join its Leadership Team and shape the future of its workforce.
This is a pivotal role, providing strategic and operational leadership across HR and Organisational Development. You will play a critical role in strengthening organisational resilience, enhancing workforce performance, and embedding a proactive, values-driven culture across a large, diverse, and geographically dispersed workforce.
You will lead the development and delivery of a forward-thinking People Strategy that supports sustainable growth and organisational excellence. This will include driving strategic workforce planning, embedding data-led decision-making, and shaping a modern, high-performing people function. You will also lead on employee relations and Trade Union partnerships, ensuring fairness, transparency, and constructive engagement, while embedding strong governance, compliance, and risk-aware people practices that keep Enable agile and future-ready.
We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on people leader with experience leading high-performing HR/People functions in complex organisations. You will bring strong expertise in workforce planning, organisational development, and employee relations, alongside a proven ability to build collaborative, productive partnerships - including with Trade Unions. The successful candidate will also have a track record of delivering meaningful culture change, supporting frontline services, and improving workforce performance at scale. Crucially, you will be able to balance organisational risk, values, compliance, and commercial considerations to deliver sustainable outcomes.
