Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm on the appointment of an HSE Advisor.
As an HSE Advisor, you will support the business in implementing Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and meeting all legal obligations, whilst promoting a safety-first culture within the organisation.
In your new role:
1. Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, as well as compliance with company policies and standards
2. Report on HSE performance indicators, and carry out environmental monitoring and measurements
3. Lead HSE meetings and Safety Committee sessions
4. Regularly review HSE risk assessments, policies and procedures
5. Provide support on HSE and continuous improvement initiatives
6. Conduct accident and incident investigations and support related enquiries as required
7. Engage with regulatory bodies, insurers and occupational health providers
8. Identify training needs and deliver HSE training where required
9. Work closely with site teams to implement HSE improvement plans
10. Collaborate internally and with external partners to maintain the safety of contractors and visitors
11. Coordinate and consult with leadership teams to support HSE objectives
What you will need to succeed:
12. Experience within a similar H&S role
13. Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc)
14. Experience with report writing, auditing, RAMS
15. Knowledge of current HSE Legislation
16. Good communication skills
17. IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
18. NEBOSH Diploma or Degree
19. Additional NEBOSH qualifications (Environmental, Fire Safety, etc)
20. Train the Trainer certifications
21. Experience within the manufacturing industry
