Retrofit Assessor Job in Manchester
Retrofit Assessor job in Manchester, covering residential sites across Manchester and the wider North West. This role will involve carrying out detailed energy efficiency and retrofit assessments as part of programmes for housing associations, local authorities and residential clients. Offering a salary of £40,000 – £50,000 + flexible working + Professional development.
This opportunity is with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy delivering a broad range of services across the built environment, including surveying, architecture, M&E engineering, project management and sustainability. With over 250 professionals across the UK, they support clients in delivering safe, sustainable and cost-effective solutions – predominantly across residential and public sector portfolios.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Carry out retrofit assessments on residential properties
2. Complete accurate drawings, reports and energy performance documentation
3. Collaborate with Retrofit Coordinators, Designers and wider technical teams
4. Support feasibility studies, specifications and tender preparation
5. Maintain project records and documentation
6. Liaise with residents during the assessment process
Required Skills & Experience
7. Qualified Retrofit Assessor (Elmhurst, Stroma or equivalent)
8. Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA)
9. Level 3 Award in Traditional Buildings (desirable)
10. Retrofit assessment experience in the housing sector
11. Strong understanding of building construction and energy efficiency
12. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
13. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
