We are seeking a HR advisor to work within our Manchester office supporting our growing group of businesses. In this role the HR advisor will be first line of contact for employee relations, supporting key areas of focus including HR compliance, absence management, performance, reward and recognition in addition to supporting recruitment and screening activities. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of generalist HR experience with a hands-on approach to managing performance, training and development and team engagement, ensuring compliance with all HR processes, with the development of a proactive and competent operational team through ongoing recruitment A genuine interest in learning and understanding our industry is essential, with the ideal candidate taking the opportunity to learn and experience our operations to ensure ongoing delivery of an aligned people and development function where they are a visible presence within the business. The role will be based full time from our offices near Old Trafford with a requirement to travel to other sites as required, so a driving license is required. Requirements Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance, support to management team and solutions to ensure a positive and productive working environment. Support managers with conflict resolution and formal processes as needed. Where required support Group People manager /General Manager with more complex HR requirements. Coach and support managers on proactive performance management practices, ensuring teams are motivated and performing to their best potential. Ensure compliance with all mandatory training in conjunction GM/people manager and wider training team including monitoring, review and delivery of training. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, for permanent recruitment across the business Supporting delivery of recruitment activity for ‘peak periods’ including planning candidate attraction strategies through social media and other channels and large scale recruitment events. Delivery of team inductions for full time and part time team members, ensuring reviewed in line with changes to business Drive initiatives that promote employee recognition and reward, fostering a culture of appreciation. Work to ensure teams remain engaged and motivated, driving overall team morale and satisfaction, through structured process of communication and review including team surveys and check ins Champion the company's core values, ensuring they are embedded across all teams. Help develop and promote a values-led culture that drives organisational success and attracts top talent. Lead and champion the Investors in People (IIP) framework, ensuring we continue to meet IIP standards and promote employee development. Manage the team performance review cycle, ensuring reviews are carried out on time and feedback is provided constructively to drive development, and identify training needs. Ensure full compliance within all aspects of the people function, including right-to-work checks and HR legislative compliance, ensuring all employees are legally eligible to work in the UK. The ideal candidate will be Level 5 CIPD qualified with a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience in a HR role ideally within security, hospitality or retail with a strong understanding of working with a large workforce in a fast moving business.
