Main purpose of the role & responsibilities

As a Senior Marketing Executive (Consultant) at Kainos, you will develop and own marketing plans, campaigns or content programmes that fully align with commercial priorities and sales plans to support growth and ambitions for BU/sector/product name/recruitment marketing. Managing your team to execute to generate brand awareness/support recruitment goals/generate leads to fuel the sales pipeline, reporting to key stakeholders within the business on success and delivery against goals.

You will use your experience and commercial knowledge to drive progress, coach your team and maximise the impact of marketing on the business. You will foster strong relationships with key internal stakeholders acting as a trusted marketing partner.


Key responsibilities

* Developing and managing strategy, plans and budgets – create, own and implement the strategy and marketing plan aligned to commercial priorities for BU/sector/product name/recruitment marketing. Manage your team to ensure delivery is on time and within budget. Own the marketing budget.
* Owning, creating and activating campaigns and content – create or guide the creation of campaigns and marketing content to drive brand awareness/support recruitment campaigns/generate leads to feed sales. Ensure effective implementation across channels including eDM, automation/nurtures, webinars, organic and paid social media, SEO/search, digital advertising and physical events.
* Reporting, accountability and ROI – drive marketing effectiveness and ROI reporting on campaigns and activities using a transparent approach via evaluation and analysis. Work with Marketing Technology and Ops to optimise effectiveness and cascade learning through your team.
* Strategic alliances with partners – develop and foster strong relationships with key partners like Workday, Microsoft, AWS to shape plans and activities, staying abreast of trends to identify new opportunities to drive commercial benefit.
* Working as a team with a focus on developing and managing others – proactively work and collaborate as part of the marketing team to deliver against overall OKRs. Manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, focusing on employee performance and career development.


Minimum (essential) requirements

* Significant relevant experience in marketing.
* Professional qualification in marketing or a specialised area (e.g. CIM).
* Experience in developing and implementing marketing/brand/communications campaigns that drive business results and meet objectives – from inception through to evaluation.
* Demonstrable experience of marketing techniques including eDM, automation/nurtures, webinars, organic and paid social media, SEO/search, digital advertising and physical events; stays abreast of developments and willing to coach/upskill team.
* Experience of working with sales/SDR teams to generate leads to fuel pipeline / subject‑matter experts to generate communications and brand content.
* Experience of using CRM and marketing automation.
* A self‑starter who is highly motivated, confident, focused, disciplined with a drive to succeed, whilst upholding Kainos values.
* Capacity to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment; can‑do attitude.
* Show resilience and persistence with the ability to learn from mistakes and receive guidance and coaching from colleagues.
* Capable of managing the workload of self and team while operating in a highly competitive and pressurised environment while meeting deadlines in accordance with business requirements.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to cultivate ideas, utilising creative writing while holding to branding and messaging direction and strategy.
* Ability to think ‘outside the box’.
* Compliance with all confidentiality and non‑disclosure policies and/or agreements and ensure security of information at all times.


Desirable

* Degree or higher in Marketing, Communications or a similar, relevant discipline.
* Experience of managing people or a small team.
* Experience of owning marketing or content for an area of business, product, or project.
* PR understanding and ability to write press releases and liaise with key media.
* Event management and project management.
* Understanding of generating leads and managing them through to qualification.
* Good knowledge or experience in the technology industry and understanding of trends in order to shape plans and content.
