Mott MacDonald Bentley are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK. This decision is a consequence of changes made to the Skilled Worker route by the UK Government in April 2024. This is a Mott MacDonald Bentley role, employed by Mott MacDonald. Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy, Mott MacDonald. We offer fully integrated design and build services, combining contracting expertise with design specialisms. This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture with both Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.

Role and responsibilities
Mott MacDonald Bentley is a fully integrated design and build business combining design expertise with contracting experience to deliver award-winning projects. Working on major water and wastewater schemes, you will be involved throughout all phases of projects from feasibility through to construction. The role is suitable for a Senior Civil Engineer who will contribute to projects in a way that makes a real difference to the environment and communities.
* Provide design support and guidance for schemes, ensuring designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards
* Work collaboratively with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions across design, construction and beyond
* Engage with clients, manage relationships, and adopt a one-team approach to achieving client aims
* Manage interfaces and integration of civil design with other disciplines; produce documentation
* Act as technical checker on project documents and undertake technical reviews across teams
* Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, including standard designs, sustainable solutions and digital tools
* Conduct site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems
* Support development of the civil engineering team, coaching and mentoring engineers and allocating appropriate resources
