Job Summary: Working with the Managing Director, the Business Manager will oversee daily operations and business development planning. As the role develops the appointee will provide strategic direction for long-term growth. Initially a part-time role, this position will evolve to include additional responsibilities across operations, sales, marketing and finance. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, commercially astute, and capable of driving the business forward in line with our company vision. Primary Duties 1. Run the Business on a day to day basis 2. Plan and Implement Growth Key Responsibilities: Initial part-time working Oversee day-to-day operations including stock control, new product orders, logistics, email management, packaging materials, and quality control Develop and lead sales strategies to identify new opportunities Design and implement effective marketing strategies Manage all digital communications (website, social media, etc.) Maintain daily financial control using QuickBooks Oversee creditor and debtor accounts Plan and implement growth strategies in existing and new markets Additional Responsibilities: Full-time working Sales Management Prepare sales forecasts and budgets (CFF) Set and monitor sales targets Lead and motivate the sales function Build strong customer relationships and market awareness Marketing and Brand Development Highlight product features, benefits and value Identify promotional opportunities and partnerships Strengthen brand identity and communication Support sales through targeted campaigns Financial Management Maintain daily financial control using QuickBooks Oversee creditor and debtor accounts Monitor and optimise cost control (goods, packaging, logistics, other) Prepare budgets and manage cash flow Strategic Leadership Plan and implement growth strategies in existing and new markets Develop and execute long-term business plans aligned with company objectives Experience Business operations or management, preferably within an SME Commercial setting with some sales experience Financial (budgeting, forecasting, cost control) Basic IT systems Marketing know-how Customer focused environment Skills and Qualities Thorough with organisational with strategic planning skills Hands-on approach to both strategic and operational tasks Effective communicator Integrity and reliability Adaptable with a strong work ethic Courageous and unafraid to make mistakes Qualifications Degree expected but not essential While not mandatory, the ideal candidate will meet most of the above criteria
