Job Opportunity: Hand Specialist Physiotherapist
We have a new opportunity for an enthusiastic physiotherapist with a special interest in hands to join our team. This role involves working across elective and trauma outpatient hands, covering complex hand, wrist, peripheral nerve, and upper limb injuries and conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assessment, early treatment, and triage of patients in a busy clinic environment
* Liaison and case discussion with Consultant colleagues and wider MDT members
* Managing an outpatient caseload of surgically and non-surgically managed injuries and conditions
* Participating in service development projects
* Supervising and training junior staff and students
* Overseeing the organisation of clinics and deputising for senior staff as required
* Collaborating with colleagues in primary and secondary care
* Flexible working including late clinics and weekend inpatient work (maximum of 1 in 4 weekends)
Previous experience managing upper quadrant problems is essential. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including specialist surgeons, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists in a busy Major Trauma Centre.
