FP&A Analyst
My client, a leading international retail organisation, is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join their regional finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong market presence and be a key financial partner to operational leadership.
The role offers genuine exposure to senior stakeholders, involvement in strategic planning, and the chance to make a real impact on how financial insights drive business decisions across a multi-site retail operation.
Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end FP&A process for the region, including:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
* Ownership of monthly management reporting and business review processes
* Building strong relationships with operational teams to understand drivers behind the numbers
* Tracking risks and opportunities, ensuring early visibility of issues
Planning & Forecasting
* Leading the annual budget cycle and quarterly reforecasting for the region
* Managing stakeholders through the planning process and ensuring timely delivery
* Producing desktop forecasts and sanity-checking submissions from business units
* Translating complex financial data into clear business language for non-finance audiences
* Supporting decision-making on pricing, promotions, and investment cases
* Presenting to regional leadership and liaising with head office finance teams
* Driving improvements in forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency
* Championing the adoption of new tools and technologies (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Essential Requirements
* Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
* Proven FP&A experience in a large, complex organisation (retail or multi-site environment advantageous)
* Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
* Excellent communication skills - able to influence and build relationships at all levels
* Strong analytical mindset with ability to see beyond the numbers and identify root causes
* Highly organised with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
* Experience working across different geographies/cultures is beneficial
Desirable
* Previous experience with financial systems implementations or process improvement projects
* Familiarity with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI)
* Understanding of retail economics and operations
* Experience in a matrix or multinational organisation
