Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor the nursery team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy.
* Support the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality.
* Act as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
* Build strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
* Oversee the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities.
* Take charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager’s absence.
* Encourage continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s needs.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* 1-2 years of experience in a Nursery Practitioner position.

Details
* Pay: £29,120 per Annum, based on experience (40 hours per week).
* Working Hours: Full-time 38 hours over 4 days - 8am to 6pm.
* Location: Little Green Rascals Children's Day Nursery, Tadcaster Road, York, North Yorkshire, YO24 1HF.
About Our Nursery
Our nursery is based in a three-story Victorian townhouse, set back from the road with access to transport and parking. An on-site Forest School offers outdoor learning opportunities.
