Who are we?
RAFCTE is renowned for staging the world-famous Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire annually. In 2003, RIAT achieved Guinness World Records as the largest military air show globally. The event attracts heads of many of the world’s air forces, major industry suppliers, thousands of aviation enthusiasts, and the public over three days. It features interactive STEM activities in the Techno Zone, inspiring young people in air, space, and technology. Over 200,000 attended RIAT in 2024.
What are we looking for?
We seek an enthusiastic Customer Experience Assistant to join our marketing team to support the delivery of RIAT 2025.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
* Supporting the customer service and marketing team in executing the company’s marketing strategy.
* Communicating with customers and external agencies.
* Leading and coordinating arrangements for the Air Tattoo Crew volunteer team under the Head of Customer Experience.
* Supporting the wider Customer Experience Team with administration, briefings, and volunteer training.
* Ensuring equipment is prepared for food and drink areas, Visitor Information Points, Accessible Enclosure, Drop Zone, Lost & Found, Children & Vulnerable Adults Facility, Multi-Faith Prayer Room, and Mobility Scooter points.
* Setting up and breaking down various facilities on the showground.
* Collaborating on PR activities throughout the year.
* Handling complaints and post-event surveys.
Type Of Contract/Working Hours
FTC until 15/08/2025, 36.25 hours/week, based in Fairford, Gloucestershire. All staff must work the Saturday or Sunday before RIAT and the entire event weekend (18-20 July 2025).
What We Will Offer
A pro-rata salary of £25,000, pension, staff wellbeing initiatives, social events, two complimentary tickets to RIAT, and a 50% staff discount for six additional tickets.
About You
If you have GCSEs including Maths and English, experience in customer service or office settings, strong communication, creative thinking, teamwork, leadership, and motivation skills, we encourage you to apply. Experience in events or customer service industries is advantageous.
