Job Description:
Fidarsi is partnering with a reputable HR team within an established Wealth Manager to recruit a Training and Competency Manager.
This role involves supporting the HR team by managing the training and competency department.
Key responsibilities include:
* Implementing and overseeing an effective Training & Competency scheme
* Providing employees with the necessary tools for compliance and development
* Ensuring investment managers hold appropriate qualifications for advising on specific asset classes
* Maintaining CPD records and SPS renewals, liaising with training bodies and managers
* Managing relationships with training providers for in-house and external courses
* Collaborating with HR, Compliance, and Suitability teams to maintain accurate training records
* Preparing and delivering annual competency assessments for investment managers
* Handling regulatory referencing, onboarding, and rescreening checks
* Assisting with annual appraisals for non-investment staff
* Delivering new starter induction programmes
* Managing online training programmes and tracking progress
* Providing T&C Management Information for committees
* Training department team members for coverage during absences
* Undertaking special projects as required
* Managing annual appraisals related to SMCR and re-certifications
* Organising and reviewing mandatory training and assessments
* Participating in recruitment and onboarding processes
* Fostering a coaching culture and designing blended learning solutions
* Creating technical, behavioral, and leadership training programmes
* Implementing talent management strategies and workforce gap analyses
* Staying updated on regulatory changes
* Maintaining accurate HRIS data
* Organising FCA-compliant training sessions
* Facilitating face-to-face classroom training
Required experience and skills:
* Ability to manage inter-departmental relationships and influence positive change
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
* Knowledge of FCA regulations including TC, SYSC, COBs, APER, and FIT
* Previous experience in a similar training or HR role
