Overview
Telent is looking for a Logistics Operative to join the team at our North West depot in Chorley (PR7 3JP) due to an influx of work within various Network Services divisional units. This is an onsite role; candidates must be commutable to Chorley and ideally hold a full UK driving licence. Reporting to the Logistics Department Manager, you will support all services required by internal and external customers within the Logistics Return Centre (LRC), ensuring accurate and timely service delivery to meet contractual requirements and maintain inventory and transactional accuracy.

Responsibilities
* Co-ordinate new stock into the Forward Stock Location (FSL) network via Telent processes
* Identify, record and process quarantined parts
* Receive and book-in units returned from field engineers onto Telent systems
* Inspect and verify units based on contract-specific DOA/RMA processes
* Update Telent systems with repair data
* Marshall units for shipment to repair or to the customer
* Book in units returned from repair and replenish to the FSL network or present to the warehouse for booking into stock
* Process Logistics Order Desk (LOD) orders for dispatch of parts from the LRC
* Adhere to Telent QEHS practices and policies
* Follow disposal processes to meet contractual requirements
* Consistently deliver to contractual Service Level Agreements
* Respond to general queries and investigation requests
* Handle and manage escalations
* Update LRC Work Instructions in line with service delivery requirements
* Have experience of working in a logistics environment
* Demonstrate a flexible outlook and approach
* Be able to work under own initiative and to deadlines
* Take delivery of goods and supplies; check for damage or missing items and escalate as needed
* Store goods and transact movements; process picking and packing of orders
* Load goods for dispatch; arrange logistics/transport collections and deliveries
* Keep records of stock updated using relevant inventory systems; ensure physical stock accuracy
* Filing and paperwork upkeep; conduct stock/inventory audits
* Apply knowledge of health & safety and best working practices
* Experience with inventory control using systems such as Oracle and Remedy or similar
* Good computer skills (MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word); data entry; manual handling
Key requirements
* Ideally hold a Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate/Diploma in Logistics Operations; breadth of experience considered where qualifications are not attained
