We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Senior Leading Hand in Central Hawke’s Bay to join us. What you’ll be doing In this role, you will assist the Orchard Manager in every aspect of running and maintaining the orchard to produce an export crop of apples. You’ll ensure that practises comply with relevant legislation and agreed company procedures while maintaining high level of health and safety standards. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning of the orchard and the effective management of orchard employees. Your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to: Motivate and manage team members to ensure the orchard is optimally profitable Supervising and training of seasonal staff Utilising technology to access, record and identify information Completing general orchard work such as property maintenance, redevelopment, tractor driving, spraying and pruning.
