Overview
I am a teenage boy with complex health needs, living at home with my family and friendly dog. I am a socially energetic young teenager who loves being involved in activities, which includes spending time with my family going outside for walks and school. I rely on my wheelchair and other equipment to support me to mobilise in my home environment and community; I need supervision throughout the day and evening due to my health needs. We are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant who can support with afternoons/evenings.
Shifts required are 4.30pm to 7.30pm Monday and Thursday and 4.30pm - 10:30pm Friday, including supporting with all aspects of personal care and clinical tasks. The ideal candidate will be energetic and always enthusiastic and a lover of music.
Responsibilities
You will need to be a good team player and be flexible in your approach. I need you to be calm, devoted, and able to think on your feet.
Qualifications
Experience of working with complex care. Full training will be provided to meet our complex health needs; however, it would be beneficial to have experience of Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) and Epilepsy.
