Join an established UK construction and design practice delivering Principal Designer services across diverse construction projects. This is a dedicated CDM / Health & Safety role — not a design leadership position — offering real influence across projects and strong long-term progression.
Hybrid working available following probation (initially office-based for team integration).
The Opportunity
This growing CDM team is undergoing transition, creating space for a confident professional to step into a key position. You’ll take full responsibility for CDM 2015 compliance, mentor colleagues, and embed best practice across the business.
Structured CPD and support towards APS / IOSH / NEBOSH qualifications available.
Your Role
▸ Deliver Principal Designer services across complex projects
▸ Manage CDM 2015 compliance end-to-end
▸ Mentor designers on CDM duties and best practice
▸ Prepare fee proposals and activity schedules
▸ Develop internal CDM guidance and deliver CPD sessions
▸ Collaborate with BIM teams to strengthen CDM integration
▸ Share legislative updates with senior leadership
Skills & Experience Required
▸ 3+ years’ post-qualified experience in construction
▸ Background in Architecture, Architectural Technology or similar
▸ Proven experience delivering the PD role under CDM 2015
▸ Strong UK Health & Safety legislation knowledge
▸ Confident communicator with mentoring ability
▸ Organised and comfortable working autonomously
▸ APS / IOSH / NEBOSH desirable (support provided if needed)
