Client-side Planning Manager Role
Location: Manchester (easy access from Manchester City Centre)
My client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team based in Manchester as a Planning Manager (Senior Development Planner would also be considered). In this role, you will be involved with project planning, development, and land use management. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse and impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.
They specialise in the broad spectrum of land development ranging from acquisition and masterplanning through to promotion, delivery, and ongoing asset management. Their expertise spans sectors such as residential, commercial, logistics, health and leisure developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate large planning projects, supporting Associate/Director
* Manage smaller projects
* Align with budget and business plan to drive value through planning and sale-ready opportunities
* Act as planning project manager, addressing key issues and risks with internal and external teams
* Promote land portfolio sites through strategic development plans
* Mentor and support junior members of staff
* Conduct site appraisals, providing recommendations on feasibility, costs, and risks
The ideal candidate:
* 4-8 years experience
* Career focussed and ambitious
* Confident in planning abilities and willingness to get involved with other project deliverables
* MRTPI chartered or working towards
