Overview
Finance Manager required to oversee the financial operations and ensure the accurate preparation of management accounts, drive efficiencies in financial processes, and manage IT systems relevant to finance. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on financial management, offering an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional skilled in Excel and financial systems. You will report directly to the finance director and gain exposure to the rest of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
* Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to the FD / MD.
* Oversee budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Develop and enhance reporting tools to improve financial visibility for Head Office.
* Lead the finance team, ensuring efficient delivery, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management.
* Oversee the payroll team.
* Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with financial regulations.
* Liaise with external auditors annually.
* Manage and monitor cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for business operations.
* Act as the key point of contact for finance-related IT systems.
* Collaborate with IT to maintain and enhance finance software and tools.
* Review and communicate improvements to streamline workflows and increase accuracy.
* Ensure the finance function is equipped with up-to-date and effective software solutions.
Qualifications & Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will ideally be ACCA / CIMA qualified; however, QBE will be considered. Please note that this role is office based.
