About the Role
Working with the warehouse team you will ensuring that products are received, put away, picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently, following the SQD model (Safety, Quality and Delivery). You will be responsible for the smooth operation of warehouse activities, and your focus will be on safely meeting our day-to-day goals and commitments to our customers.
Responsibilities
* Pick UK and Export Shipments from the relevant warehouses using the Pick Lists provided.
* Reporting any items that do not appear acceptable.
* Follow all Packing and Labeling Instructions to the letter so as to align with Transport Regulations.
* Participate in the collation of Export Shipments and ensure Shipments are loaded accurately and all paperwork is completed in.
* Have a good understanding of Third-Party Systems, such as Courier services, MSDS.
* Maintain good stock levels of all consumables required in our working area and understand the procedure for its requisitions.
* Operate any equipment for which we have completed the relevant training, and to ensure that all defective equipment and other relevant issues are reported to an Operations Team Leader or Manager.
* Maintain up to date records and paperwork necessary to the role.
* Ensure full compliance with site Security policies.
* Conform with the environmental and quality policy, procedures and with the requirements of the EMS and QMS and act appropriately with regard to issues affecting impacts on the environment and conforming to product requirements.
* Conduct our day to duties according to current procedures and appropriate Health and Safety precautions.
* Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities on site.
* Carry out any other duties within the employees’ skills and abilities whenever reasonably guided.
Qualifications
* Ability to understand written and verbal procedures and instructions in English.
* Experience in warehouse operations such as forklift driving, picking, packing goods, or dispatch.
* Work co-operatively with the team and assists others to achieve departmental objectives and goals.
* Encourages a positive working environment and be flexible within the team.
* Shares ideas, seeks help and support when required, recognizes the contribution of others.
* Operate and maintain warehouse equipment in accordance with relevant training.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team.
* Meets productivity, quality, and safety targets and standards set by the department/company.
* Participates in job development and be receptive to change.
* Gain and maintains skills through continuous development and training.
Required Skills
* Attention to detail and for quality.
* Previous warehouse experience would be a benefit.
* Forklift trained/license will be beneficial.
Pay range and compensation package
* Shift: Mon-Fri on rotation, 1 week 8-16; 2nd week 9:30-17:30
* Location: Heysham, Shore Road LA3 2XY
* Overtime: Available
* Interview: onsite- 30-45 mins
