We have an exciting opportunity for a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join our Imaging team based in Hemel Hempstead. About the role Your responsibilities will include: The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant will assist the qualified radiographers with their day-to-day duties and to provide patient support for patients attending the imaging department at OSH. Entering data on the Patient/Radiology Information system (RIS/PIS), data sharing and image distribution using picture archive (PACs), Image Exchange Portal (IEP) and other associated systems Assisting Consultant Radiologists with ultrasound lists. Participate in regular review of clinic activities ensuring the patient journey, comfort, safety and patient services outcomes continue to be at the forefront of the agenda and are maintained at the highest level. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift basis, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day rota during the hospital operating hours. The rota is not fixed, is subject to change in order to meet operational needs and will be required to work weekends and bank holidays in accordance with the rota. About you The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Minimum five GCSEs or equivalent (Grades A-C) to include Math, English and a Science Subject, or NVQ Level. Experience in undertaking patient care, tasks and activities across modalities, ideally within a healthcare/private healthcare setting.
