We are currently working with a progressive and highly regarded Northern Ireland law firm that is seeking to appoint a Family & Matrimonial Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join its expanding specialist family law team based in County Down.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to join a well-established practice with a strong reputation for high-quality private family law work across Northern Ireland, including complex matrimonial finance and children matters.
The Role
The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of privately funded family and matrimonial matters, including:
* Separation and divorce
* Financial settlements and ancillary relief
* Children Order proceedings and custody disputes
* Domestic violence matters
* Civil partnership disputes
* Cohabitation, pre- and post-nuptial agreements
* Complex financial cases involving pensions, trusts, businesses, farms and inherited assets
* Collaborative settlements and negotiated resolutions
* Cases with cross-jurisdictional or international elements
The role offers exposure to high-quality and often complex work, with the opportunity to work alongside experienced specialists in this area.
Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland with 3+ years’ PQE
* Strong experience in family and matrimonial law
* Ability to manage files independently from instruction to conclusion
* Excellent client care and interpersonal skills
* Strong advocacy and negotiation abilities
* Experience dealing with privately funded matters
* A sensitive, practical and commercially minded approach
Experience in complex financial remedy work and children matters would be particularly advantageous.
