The nursery delivers a high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, with a strong emphasis on child-centred learning, outdoor provision, and developing confident, independent learners.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Teacher to join the team on a part-time basis (2 days per week). The successful candidate will bring strong EYFS expertise, a commitment to outstanding early years provision, and the ability to inspire young children through engaging and creative teaching.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning opportunities in line with the EYFS framework
* Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment that supports all children’s development
* Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, using this to inform planning and next steps
* Promote a culture of collaborative learning and holistic development
* Work closely with support staff to ensure effective provision for all learners, including those with SEND
* Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, supporting home–school learning
* Maintain high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and pastoral care
* Support a curriculum that values outdoor learning and play-based approaches
Person Specification
Essential
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Significant experience within EYFS / nursery settings
* Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
* Ability to deliver engaging, child-centred learning
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable
* Experience within a maintained nursery environment
* Knowledge of inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs
* Experience delivering outdoor or nature-based learning
