Live-In Personal Care Assistant for a History PhD StudentAsk Jules are recruiting on behalf of our client, a PhD History student at the University of Cardiff. The client suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and as such is a full-time wheelchair user with significant weakness in his arms. He is looking for a PA to assist with daily life.Start: June 15th 2026Rota: Live-in 7 days on / 7 days offLocation: Based at Cardiff University during term time until September, then relocating to Cheltenham until December, with the possibility of extension beyond this periodPay: £150 per day / £1,050 per week workedFree accommodation whilst on shiftNest Pension SchemeHolidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rataAn Automatic Driving Licence is a requirement, as you will be driving our clients automatic vehicleAbout the JobThis is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in somebody elses life.

A huge fan of bands like Kasabian, Muse, Ben Howard, and Arctic Monkeys, he often attends concerts and would appreciate a PA who can join him. He also enjoys watching rugby and holds 6 Nations tickets, making match days a highlight for him.
He also enjoys going out and socialising at a pub.An avid follower of current affairs, politics, and international news, values open-minded discussions and seeks a PA who can engage in thoughtful conversations.
