We are currently recruiting for an exceptional Head of Physics to join a well-regarded Secondary School in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate Physics specialist to lead a dedicated department and shape the future of science education at the school.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Physics curriculum, leading a team of talented educators, and ensuring outstanding teaching and learning across all year groups. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Physics department to ensure high-quality teaching and student outcomes.
Develop and implement engaging schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum.
Support and mentor Physics staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative teaching environment.
Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement.
Liaise with senior leadership and contribute to the wider science faculty.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred.
UK classroom experience in Physics is essential.
Previous Head of Physics or Head of Department experience is highly desirable.
