Due to rapid company expansion, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Management Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will support the Head of Finance in delivering timely, accurate financial reporting. This role is ideal for a part-qualified accountant looking to build technical depth in a high-impact finance environment.
This role is crucial in maintaining financial health and integrity as we continue to grow. The successful applicant will have experience in management accounting and financial reporting, with an AAT qualification or be part-qualified in ACA / ACCA / CIMA (qualified by experience would also be considered).
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and post monthly journals
* Support the month-end and year-end close processes
* Assist with preparation of internal reporting packs for senior leadership
* Manage payroll processing alongside HR and external providers
* Support budget monitoring and variance analysis
* Assist with finance business partnering activities
* Contribute to finance process improvements and documentation
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* AAT Level 4 achieved and/or registered with ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent and actively studying
* Experience in a similar finance role (2–3 years preferred)
* Strong understanding of core accounting principles and month-end routines
* Confident user of Excel and accounting systems (Xero, Access, etc.)
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
* Proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong communication skills
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
