Job Details
Location: Highbury Lodge Day Nursery, Hitchin, SG4 9RW.
Contract: Permanent; 0 hours/week; 52 weeks/year.
Working pattern: Varied, ad‑hoc shifts between 07:30‑18:30, Monday‑Friday.
Salary: £12.93‑£14.33 per hour.
Qualifications
* DfE approved early years qualification at Level 2 or above.
Responsibilities
* Implement engaging activities planned by the Key Person to empower children to learn through play and exploration.
* Contribute to observations for the children’s learning journeys.
* Ensure every child feels safe, valued, and happy and promotes their well‑being.
* Collaborate with others, effectively communicating and building strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Eligibility
Applicants must currently reside within a commutable distance of the nursery and hold suitable Right to Work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants must be 17 or older due to Ofsted rules.
Safer recruitment checks apply, including an Enhanced DBS check.
