Prysmian is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to work i n the Wrexham factory within manufacturing of power cables and network comp onents. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will have a broad range of responsibilities in order to ensure that products and processes meet quality standards, customer expectations and relevant regulatory requirement. The role involves monitoring, testing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and repeatability as well as working on reducing variations and cost of poor quality. The role requires a high level of, both, hands-on and soft skills, such as teamwork, communicatio n, leadership and coordination competencies. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Developing and maintaining quality control plans and procedures for different product families according to existing standards and specific customer requirements. Ensuring the correct application of work instructions and quality control plans together with applicable QMS procedures. Managing customer quality claims, including intercompany issues. Managing internal quality non-conformities, applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) and identify areas of improvement. Monitoring supplier quality performance and managing supplier quality issues. Driv ing root-cause analysis and corrective actions using tools like 8D, A3, FMEA, involving cross-functional teams when. Facilitating external (e.g., ISO, BASEC) and customer audits. Support ing internal and supplier audits. Monitor ing quality KPIs such as COPQ, number of customer claims. Analys ing quality data in order to identif y “ data driven ” improvement opportunities. Maintain ing and updating quality management system documentation, in coordination with the UK Quality Systems Manager. Ensuring all tests and inspections on raw materials, components and finished product s are conducted. Ensuring measurement and test equipment is maintained and calibrated as. Ensuring execution of factory quick process audits according to Prysmian rules, ensuring corrective actions are addressed and followed. Lead by example to enhance and promote quality culture. Managing a plan t quality team. Who are we looking for ? A n experienced senior quality engineer with a hands-on and can-do attitude, able to drive improve ment projects in a fast-pace manufacturing environment. Someone with strong problem-solving skills and attention to details, profici ent in quality standards, test methodologies and statistical analysis tools. Someone who is results driven and capable to multitask, but also able to focus on the right priorities, ensuring both, effectiveness and efficiency in the work they do. Someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document findings clearly. Someone capable to communicate and work with colleagues from all levels of the organization. We are looking for a senior quality professional with educational background in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar, or equivalent work experience in quality in a manufacturing environment ; Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification is advantageous.
