We are currently recruiting for a Governance Officer to join our team. The key purpose of this position is to plan, organise and administer the work of the SHG Board, Subsidiary Boards and Committees. Governance Officers are a key point of contact for Board Members and liaise with a range of senior leaders across SHG and they support Board Members to be effective in their roles.
Our ideal candidate will have:
• An understanding of the governance and regulatory requirements which apply to SHG and the role the governance function plays in delivery of them
• Great IT and Digital skills and standards of literacy and numeracy
• An ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail and planning and organisational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and be able to relate confidently and effectively to a diverse range of Board Members, Senior Leaders and customers
As an employer committed to flexible working solutions, we would also consider applications for alternative working arrangements outside of the standard 37 hours / across five days contract however, we do have non-negotiable requirements in relation to evening meeting attendance.
