Business Development Consultant

Field Based- North West of England

The right person will ideally be a field-based salesperson with experience in developing a sales strategy to acquire new business from small to medium customers across multiple industries.

This is a high activity, fast turnover, targeted role so you must thrive in this type of environment. You will have a New Business target to hit every period so your drive to achieve this should be unwavering. You should have a hunter mentality with the energy, enthusiasm, and self-motivation to keep seeking New Business daily. You will find your own leads and set your own appointments so experience in researching local companies, cold calling and visiting new customers is a must.

What you’ll be doing as a Business Development Consultant:

1. Develop a strategic plan to win new business from new small to medium customers across multiple industries in your territory
2. Market research, cold calling, make appointments and visit new customers at their premises
3. Represent phs with brand new customers at the appropriate level
4. Focus on the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of sales activity not just the quantity
5. Use the CRM system to effectively record, manage and develop opportunities

What you will have:

6. Demonstrable experience in delivering against new business growth targets
7. Proven track record in a strategic hunter sales role
8. Has high energy and pace
9. Thrives in a high-pressure sales environment
10. Is resilient and tenacious in their approach to winning new business
11. High professional and personal standards
12. Can be decisive and resilient
13. Someone who can challenge, respectfully, constructively and effectively
14. A valid UK driving licence
15. A security check or be willing to get one

25. Salary £34,312.00 with OTE £59,312.00
